As part of the 2012 Kirkland Lake Winter Carnival, legendary classic rocker Kim Mitchell headlines the Winterfest Pub as part of the Carnival Fish Derby on Saturday, February 25 in the Northern College Gymnasium.

Kim Mitchell first rose to fame as a member of the band Ma...x Webster. After going solo in the 80's, Mitchell racked up a string of radio hits including Go For A Soda, Patio Lanterns, All We Are, Rock N Roll Duty, Lager and Ale, Easy To Tame & Alana Loves Me.

Mitchell has won 3 Juno Awards including the 1990 Male Vocalist of the Year. He is presently the afternoon drive host on Toronto classic rock station Q107.

The Winterfest Pub begins at 6pm with the $5000 elimination draw & fish derby prize presentation. Live music starts at 9pm.

Winterfest Pub tickets will be available as part of the Winter Carnival Fish Derby tickets for $100 each. People purchasing fish derby tickets will be given the opportunity to purchase 1 additional pub ticket for a guest for $25 at the time they are purchasing their derby ticket.

All carnival event tickets go on sale beginning December 1st at reception at the complex.
