Kansas City's 4th, 56th overall, in 1974.

Defenceman, Roger Lemelin, played parts of four seasons with the Kansas City Scouts and Colorado Rockies in the 70s. He was a solid player in his own end who used his 6'3" 215 lb. frame to keep the front of his net clear.

Born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, Lemelin was taken 56th overall by the Scouts in 1974 after two solid years with the OHA's London Knights. He played eight games for Kansas City in 1974-75 but saw most of his ice time in the AHL. He continued as a useful farmhand over the next three years and remained with the franchise when it relocated to Denver, Colorado in 1976.

Following his NHL career, Lemelin played several years in the minors before retiring in 1984. His solid play behind the blueline helped the Hershey Bears win the Calder Cup in 1980.
