Eddie Rodden was born March 22, 1901 in Mattawa, Ontario. After four years in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association, Rodden joined Woodstock of the Ontario Hockey Association Junior 'A' Hockey League before finishing his season with Woodstock's Ontario Intermediate Hockey Association's franchise.
